The Batman Who Laughs, Bust, DC Comics.

Project type

Bust

Date

2021

Location

Wagga, Australia

The Batman Who Laughs bust was part two of Santo's gift to a friend. The spiked visor, grin and red-lined black collar made this a really fun comic-book character to paint early in my career.

I'm usually all about poppy colours and blends, so working with a more desaturated palette really pushed me. I repainted this one a lot! If you're thinking about a comic-book bust commission, send me the character and look you're after.
